Mostly gardening

After some early morning housework, I headed to the allotment and planted the remaining garlic.  I'm trying planting the cloves close together with the idea of harvesting every other one as green garlic in the early summer. There were a few spare cloves, so a few went into pots and some into gaps in the polytunnel. 
The rudbeckia stalks were rocking in the wind, so I cut them back and found a very late flower. I must remember to give them a Chelsea chop next year.
Then back at home I finally removed the fuchsias from the front trough and after relining it, planted it up with tulips, crocus and wallflowers.
It was so good to be outside even though the day was cold and grey.
