A quiet home based day nursing a head cold and chesty cough. No swimming for me this week.

I had a profitable day at the races from the comfort of our sofa.

Todays blip is a photo ( taken from the telly) of Farinet winning at Chepstow ridden by Shane Quinlan for Trainer Venetia Williams. It was a double for them, and me too. And it didn’t stop there.

The trainer also had two winners elsewhere, one at Aintree and in the last race at Sandown. My favourite NH jockey Charlie Deutsche steered Quick Wave round for an easy victory.

After the racing finished I went out for a stroll; I took some photos of a watery sunset and a couple of the Leeds skyline, all of which I was pleased with. However, a blip of a beautiful grey racehorse cantering home better sums up my day.
