Life in a Northern Town

Settling In

Yes I know I said I'd ration the dog Blips, but it's grey and rainy out there, so it's the dog or more wet rhubarb. Bear with me!
Lizzie slept all night with no problems, despite not being toilet trained we have had no accidents, and she has made herself at home. We have even been out in the car - which involved me lifting her up into the boot - she is all skin and bone but bloody heavy! We had to go to the pet shop to get her a raincoat - she left a little puddle on the floor, but I think that's understandable as she's never been in a house before, let alone a great big, bright pet shop full of strange smells (and rabbits).
I bought her a lovely soft bed, but she prefers the cheap old duvet, and she has found a cuddly toy she likes. She has also been introduced to the joys of dried sausages - the look on her face when she tried one, was a picture.

Still early days and lots of settling in to do, but it's been a great start. Thanks for all the kind words yesterday, I even found out that one of Lizzie's cousins is a Blip star.
Happy weekend everyone - looks like a rainy one. Here's an awesome song - the title is appropriate, even if nothing else about the song is!

PS - the phrase Silent But Deadly has taken on a whole new significance.
