Decided to put a couple of coats of wax on the kitchen chairs this morning, did some ironing and a couple of early Saturday jobs . N picked me up at 12.30 and we had a very quick and easy drive to Newark. Had time for a leisurely coffee in their nice warm waiting room . Train was 10 mins late but caught up the time and I had an uneventful journey to Edinburgh. Much easier than 2 more train journeys from Nottingham to Grantham and Grantham to Newark! D picked me up at Waverley and and we went straight for fish and chips (delicious) , then the pre ballet talk before the Snow Queen ballet. Excellent choreography, fantastic sparky costumes and a very clever set. Oh and incredibly skilled dancers of course. Nonsense plot but irrelevant really! We drove straight to A and Ns fab new house in Greenlaw. Looking forward to seeing it in the light tomorrow, and to the weekend of course!
