Chipping Away

Dear O'H dear, Lovely Tea Jenny and The Eldest Mini Princess,

While I was in New Zealand, The Prince bought gravel chips for the area round the patio and the side of the garage. It looks great but there were a lot of chips left over - - over half a tonne of them. Sitting in a bulk bag on the grass.*

Three weeks (and a lot of nagging) later and The Prince had arranged (via FB marketplace) for someone to pick them up. The man seemed very nice and came FULL of helpful advice - ”Buy cryptocurrency. It’s the future” before launching into an explanation about how the banks will collapse and decentralise. Luckily he has silver which his kids will be able to use in the shops.

The friendly soothsayer assured us that “This is the best time to be alive. We are going to be free,” citing the protests in China as clear proof of this.

But on the plus side, he randomly swept the path before he left…so every cloud does indeed have a silver lining (which is lucky as it is soon to be legal tender)!

*Yes there were questions. Apparently it was just as cheap to get a bulk bag than lots of smaller bags. And that measuring hadn’t been a part of the process!
