Take Off

We've our friends who lived opposite us until a few weeks ago visiting this evening for a meal and catch up and as they're staying the night it'll be a late one!

I did a food shop in Coleford, The Forest of Dean, and needed to collect a parcel from a village shop near us. Driving along this lane leading into Lydbrook I passed a beautiful old barn with what looks like a Sparrow Hawk on the roof. Getting out of the car to photograph it, it wasn't up for posing and flew off!  The lane is called Proberts Barn Lane so I wonder if it was named after this large old barn?
