Stinking iris

Otherwise known as Iris Foetidissima or the Roast Beef plant apparently so called because some people find the odour of its leaves smell unpleasantly ‘beefy’. I love its brilliant red berries and it certainly brightened up my walk today. The snails seem to like it as well!
