Advent stress!

None of that Advent calm nonsense chez nous! Time to light the advent candle! The start of that annual rush to remember to blow it out in time at the end of just one day's burning time. Then it's the start of catch up for the nights I forget to light it. I feel I make a rod for my own back sometimes.
It is a lovely candle, Georg Jensen, a Danish design company. I love their stainless steel table ware, they do lovely Christmad Decs too.
Had a lovely day today, got up early to let the painter in to do some snagging after the outside of the house was painted the other week. That meant I was up and about and able to head off to the insanely busy blipper @nadinepierce 's house. I did remember to bow à la Pukes !

We headed across to Whitmuir for delicious bacon rolls and a browse. I didn't spend too much money on the antique shop.

Back home, I made a big pot of coq au vin to share with Ali and Stuart and a sausage casserole for this evenings quick tea. Zoom bridge this evening, play wasn't bad but I'm glad we have the real thing back now.

Oh and we didn't burn the candle far enough (thick ones burn so slowly) so we are in catch up mode already! The stress begins, lol.
