Rejoiced Exceedingly

Determined to get a Christmassy Blip for the 1st of December - hence the shooting star on the castle at Monsaraz, where we went to get sheepskin slippers for the older grandkids, who we hope to see in a couple of days!!

When they saw the star, they rejoiced exceedingly with great joy. (Matthew 2v10) Of course, the star would only have appeared on the night Jesus was born, but love the idea of Advent, of preparing for his coming, so that our joy is great when he does appear. 

Gratefuls:
- the most gorgeous morning, of sunshine after rain, everything shining
- successful trip to Évora to get Mike a carry-on suitcase, loong way to go, but the price one pays for living in the "sticks"
- hot chocolate in cosy Sahida, my favourite place in Monsaraz, with a cat snuggled against me
