Hopes are High...

Hello Everyone,

I spend 8 hours driving yesterday to collect this lathe bed for an IME  Instrument lathe. I spend around 3 hours today starting to stabilize it before tucking it away for a future project.

I have never seen one of these advertised anywhere and stumbled across this when I was looking for something else. I am not 100% sure but I may have been made in 1959.

I have high hopes for this as although it looks quite rough the black marks do come off quite easily and the surfaces that are important are in far better condition that I has imagines. This is quite a nice piece of history with regard to the IME company.

Off to Brighton tomorrow.
