Busy day today. Bridge first thing. I say this every week but gracious it was tricky! R and I were talking about my trip to Edinburgh and she told me that EMR are striking on Friday. I had no idea! Got home, chatted to the decorator and then walked up to the Poppy to meet N for lunch. Disappointing meal for me but her fish and chips were good! I was looking for information about the strike when she arrived and she offered to drive me to Newark to get my train. Really kind of her and actually easier than getting two trains from Nottingham to Newark.
Got home and finished painting the first four chairs. They’ve turned out well I think.
Went to upholstery in the evening. Ji had nothing to do so between us we finished stripping down my storage stool thing . Only one more week left though so I will be carrying on with it next term. Lovely sociable day.
