Cloudbusting
Our friends arrived at 7 this morning after a few days travel by Eurostar, high speed train and ferry! It felt very dark and very early! They're hear til early Jan taking some sabbatical time. Good to catch up with them. They've got a seafront apartment but it wasn't available until late afternoon.
I left them to nap and headed off to see the ES guys - saw these gorgeous clouds on the way and had to snap them to put in our family WhatsApp chat.
Tonight was community dinner, this time with Gemma, Anna and Sam too. Such a lovely evening, lots of laughter and good to pray for the 3 of them.
Today I'm grateful for;
1) A new family at school - British-Italian. This is the first time there have been British kids there other than Asha and Nate! Nate is especially loving the connection and he and Rocco played very happily whilst his mum and I swapped contacts and made plans for the weekend.
2) Being asked to be involved in a Spanish Alpha, translating for someone.
3) Sam and Anna arriving safely after a long journey.
Today's joy theme is 'astonishing' (last one!);
1) These astonishing clouds! Love how the sun was lighting up the edges.
2) Asha's new joy for making Stop Motion videos, her one today was astonishing (that might be overdoing it, ha! I was impressed though!!).
3) Astonishing, people's generosity towards the Christmas Day meal.
