Boots
I had a walk with M and Scout this morning. It was a bit hectic when she arrived as OH was going to Tesco for milk and Dunelm were delivering the bedroom bench that I had ordered so there was a bit of tooing and froing in the drive. The weather was grey and murky but we set off over the fields which didn't look the same in the murk? We got a bit lost but enjoyed our walk and chat. She is still a bit down with various things going on but we have known each other for over 30 years and friends are there for each other. Which is more than I can say for my walking boots which leak and my feet were soaked.
We got home for a cup of tea before M headed off and I had a 'carpe diem' moment and ordered some boots. She bought a pair of these and said they are super comfortable, warm and waterproof!
OH was running errands (taking MIL to meet friends, and taking my car to the garage to be checked over following incident yesterday, however there is nothing wrong with it).
I had another quick visit to the flower warehouse to buy some moss and spruce which had been delivered since yesterday and spent an hour making a couple of door wreaths.
Fire alight and internet restored so we watched some rubbish on Netflix (rather than terrestial rubbish?)
No.1 phoned in the evening and described a 'lovely day' with B. I was amazed how she could call Day 11 of radiotherapy as 'lovely' but they had spent time together and then had a long lunch after her appointment. She is a trouper and I am so proud of her and love her to bits!!
