From Kirkby Stephen Railway

Thank you so much for your wonderful comments on my misty Derwentwater shots from yesterday.

We had arranged to meet up with friends today at Kirkby Stephen (they came over from Settle by train) and walk over the Smardale viaduct. Thick fog from when we left home all the way to Kirkby Stephen. 

Waiting on the footbridge over the rail tracks for them to arrive, looking East along the lines, the Sun was trying to shine through the fog, and catching the shiny rails. Such beautiful lighting - it was like a Dickensian scene. - The main pic is in full colour.

Extra of the Viaduct, which we could just see looming out of the fog. I love weather like this.
