Glass

We met our friends Nicola and Stewart this afternoon at Jinney Ring.  We had a nice coffee and chat at a corner table, being the only one available as the rest were reserved for a wake.  After our drink we took a look round the shop and then over to the glass blowers' works where it is possible to watch the whole process as they make their glass ornaments from furnace to shaping and colour finishing.  This is a photo I took during one such modelling, the bulb on the end of the pole was glowing red hot having been just taken out of the fire.  He is just adding some colour to it.

There seems to be quite a bit of colour in the picture so I'm submitting it for today's Wide Wednesday hosted by Steveng.

In other news: We had our second 'save electricity hour' this evening.  Not sure how well we did!
