Farewell Faerdie-maet

The best take-away cafe in town closed for the last time today. After 37 years the current owner has decided to retire and as yet nobody has bought the business. Best filled rolls in town, hot or cold, and less than 30 yards from where I worked for 38 years. We had to have one last bacon roll but such was the queue of well wishers thinking the same as us there was a 20 minute wait for the roll. Well worth it in the end. Farewell to Brenda and Elizabeth and all the best to them on their retirement.
