Cake Anyone?

When I do indulge in a little cake, which is very rare these days, I do not expect to be reminded of each individual calorie I am consuming! Today I declined, but I know I have tried this delight previously.

It took me right back to a Friday lunchtime in primary school. Friday was the only day my 'mummy' worked and I couldn't go home for lunch. I hated school dinners. I didn't have any pals to sit with and I didn't like the food. The only saving grace was that occasionally they had coconut and jam sponge with custard. Another case of the prized yellow sauce adding to an already gorgeous dish.

Now if there had been custard today perhaps I could have been tempted!
