Stacked

If yesterday was grey, wet and dark, today was even more so. Our neighbour and friend B picked me up at noon for a lunchtime walk. Her timing was spot on, as it later rained all afternoon. 

This blip shows part of a huge firewood stack on our walk. They used several of the oaks in their little private forest as supports for the stack, like this one. 

Thank you for all your good wishes yesterday - they worked! I got offered a small work project today, so I won't be jobless for the rest of the year. 

It's just enough to do for a week or so, but an interesting subject - a French documentary about the shady, but hugely profitable business of big cargo ships. I'm looking forward to learning more about it...
