Another day, another Scottish castle
These are the remains of Boddam Castle. Built in the 15th-16th century. It sits high on a rocky promontory, surrounded and defended on three sides by the sea.The remains of the castle are a ruinous curtain wall with the west gable of an entrance building with a round-arched doorway with square window above and gun loops. The footings of a range of buildings remain within the enclosure against the north and south walls. The castle was originally the seat of the Keiths of Ludquharn.
