Ready Set Go

Due to Covid restrictions, Ellie has missed out on swim classes for two years and we were too late signing up this summer. so she has not learned to swim. I was proud of her for overcoming her fears and going down the slide at the pool. I was at the bottom to catch her and she was proud of herself for being brave. 

Today was a cloudy wet and kind of cool day so I didn't get out snorkeling. Ellie's family wanted to shop today so she hung out with me. We endured the cold water and raindrops to swim in the pool with several slides; she chose the short one! We went into the ocean with our noodles and it was definitely warmer than the pool; we splashed around for a while and then decided time in the room might be the most fun on this cooler day. We had a good time with made-up games. Life is good.
