A blank canvas (almost)

My newest project started tonight and it is a project and a half. It’s a very complicated pattern and very big.. but that’s half the fun. With each tiny stitch a picture will emerge. Slowly, slowly, thread by thread. But it happens with perseverance and patience, mistakes along the way that can be rectified and of course a little bit of fun.

And isn’t that what we need to cultivate with life itself? Patience with ourselves through the tumultuous journey we call life, forgiving ourselves when things don’t go according to the plan we decided to make. Perseverance, knowing that if we keep going and keep going, we can accomplish what we set out to do, even if the task seems impossible… realising that we all make mistakes and to be kind to ourselves when we do because we are only human. Perfectly imperfect. And acknowledging and accepting that others make mistakes too. Mistakes can be rectified, made good and sometimes the outcome is better than you could have imagined.

So take one step in front of each other, take one moment at a time and you will create something beautiful that is the picture of your life..

And I, stitch by stitch, will create a perfectly imperfect picture… yet to be revealed…
