We hae meat and we can eat.......

Another one of those days. Was feeding cattle when wee brother phoned to say he had a cow flat out in a field and was needing a hand to get her sat upright.
He had to wait until the lorry had been in to collect the 13 heifers for the mart,then sent Kev over to give him a hand.
I headed off to St Boswells. It was the Christmas show ,but the 4 I had entered weren't good enough to win any prizes. No surprise there then .
Treated myself to lunch in the canteen,they had lamb for St Andrews day as there is a promotion on to donate a lamb for charity with some marts.
Another very worthy cause got a boost today as one farmer sold a beast that was bred on Doddie Weir's family farm and donated the £3000 it made to his MND charity following his untimely death at the weekend.
Back up the road in glorious winter sunshine then back to feeding cattle and various other things..
