Today's the day ......................... to re-hang

We've been doing a fair amount of decorating in the house recently - that has involved clearing rooms of furniture, paintings etc and then lots of emulsioning and painting of woodwork. 

So things have been looking very bare for a while - very colourful, because there are some wonderful shades of emulsion to be had these days - but devoid of all the artwork that we love and all the personal touches that turn a house into a home.  Today though, we've started re-hanging pictures and paintings and marvelled at what a difference they make.

In fact, it made me think of something that Tessa painted, when she was here at the weekend (see extra).  She was making a sign for the door of her 'Salon' (where a variety of beauty treatments were on offer!).  She included a quote which I thought was spot on.  She wrote it in her own special way - but what it said was - 

........... the EARTH without ART is just .................eh??
