Female Chaffinch

I'm pretty sure I'm right but maybe this is a juvenile because its black cap hasn't developed as blackly as I'd expect. So let me know if I've misidentifed it. A lovely tiny bird waiting its turn at the feeder.

Glorious morning with mist rising from the fields and the river. The sun is shining but it's chilly in the shade. No wind. Just what I like at this time of year.

My grandson is on his way for the day. This evening I'm at a friend's house for a meeting about the Christmas parcels. We'll work out what we have to put into each bag of treats. If there are gaps we'll work out how to fill them. Great fun.
