The windswept beach on the west coast of the North Island is forever changing.

We love staying in the seaside settlement and venturing onto the coastal sand. It is full of surprises, and today we discovered this derelict burnt out wreck, slowly rusting as it is surrounded by the salty tidal waves twice a day.
