Cabbage white

There are things I'm better at growing than others and I've been wondering for many months why I bother growing brassica when so many pests (pigeons, caterpillars, whitefly) are stacked against me. 

I've just seen the leaves are covered in cabbage white. I like a visually pleasing plot and hate the horrible plastic netting than people always cover their brassica beds with. And frankly, I had better things to do than worry about protecting my brassica this summer, with all the firefighting around the heatwave (no pun intended...). 

I've decided I might try a need oil spray but even if that works, I'm done growing brocoli and kale!
