Marrons chauds :)

We caught my own town’s Xmas market today and one of my favorite street foods: roasted chestnuts. It’s something that isn’t very common in the US ever since a blight essentially wiped out all our chestnut trees.

Yesterday evening, we had the first of my mom’s birthday parties — this one with one set of her friends. Any dinner that starts with fresh oysters on the half shell is a winner to me :)
