They're Back!
..the Christmas Inflatables! I remember them well from last year! This one house in our neighbourhood goes all out in the "blow-up lawn decor" display every Hallowe'en and Christmas...They must have some very happy grandchildren!
Meanwhile, I am in a bit of a lull in my Christmas decorating frenzy at the moment..The rec room has its low-key Christmas red plaid theme well underway, but I have not yet put up my tree here in the living room or brought out all those festive table linens that make an appearance every year but seldom get used..My intentions are always good, but it would mean hosting a lot of dinners to make use of them all and entertaining such events is not really within my comfort zone. I will try harder though - perhaps start with the book club and make the December meeting at my house a dinner meeting? If I can manage to organize even a couple such evenings, that would be an improvement!
Good News Alert!
Be still my heart....Ian, a fellow on our street, has decided to start up a landscaping business on the side and has agreed to take over some of my garden tasks next year! I was SO devastated when E informed me the other day that he and his wife have bought a house up in cottage country and will be moving away this winter! I can now sleep at night, knowing that all his hard work will not be wasted..that someone will take over....the garden will survive.
Life is good...
