Panic...

the blackbirds were going mad this morning.. flying manically around and crying.. I went out to see then but couldnt find anything that was disturbing them. Over breakfast we saw the cat in the garden with the blackbirds attacking it. I rushed out to scare it away and found a little fledgling that he had been chasing caught round its nect in the chicken wire fence. I managed to release it and it tried to fly away and ended up under the fir tree.. I am hoping that it managed to get back into its nest.
There was no sign of it this afternoon when I came back from work and the blackbirds are quiet this evening.
this is one of them frantically calling for help..
