Cumbria Here I Come

Wildflowers

Had to be in Carlisle this morning so afterwards walked with Bonnie along the riverbank nr Wreay, think its the River Petteril. I was there a few days ago and noticed all the wild flowers beginning to appear so was keen to return with the camera!

Had to take the car back to the garage in Carlisle as I wasn't able to access the
tyre repair kit in the false floor after they fitted the tailgate guard for me recently. I did query this at the time but they didn't seem concerned!! The brackets on the tailgate guard had rivets and could only be removed with a drill so the very helpful man told me when I went to buy a screwdriver to fit. I asked if a hand drill would do the job, well you can imagine what he was thinking can't you!! He very politely told me that yes it would do the job but would take forever. So it was a waste of time carrying the screwdrivers in my car for emergency. If I'd had a puncture I would have really been in trouble, but all should be ok now that two of the bracket have been put on properly.

I saw a beautiful bird earlier, just looked it up and it was a Jay! Never seen one before. I was late for an appointment so couldn't stop. Looked around half an hour later but no sign, but I was pleased that I saw it.

The weather hasn't been as bad as predicted today which is a relief. So we didn't get strong winds and heavy down pours, woo hoo!! Think I'll go and do an hour's weeding, or perhaps not as its started to rain :(
