Osprey

Went for a walk this afternoon where I thought we would see one of these. Lo and behold, not one but two. They are not that far away from where we live, about a ten minute drive. Yes an Osprey (Pandion haliatus). I have never seen them when I have had a camera with me. I didn't expect to be so lucky as to see them on my first search journey. I felt so chuffed. This was with the lens really extended. So guess I will go back as I also found where they nest. This is a secret place, but I'm hoping for more shots and slightly closer next time. What a magnificent bird!
