Sally Mair - Loving life

By Sallymair

What a cheek!

Why do people think it is OK to park across a driveway? Their usual comment is that they were only away for a couple of minutes. I waited over ten minutes one time for the driver to come back, her comment was that she hadn't been long! Mine was, that her few minutes meant that my 5 year old granddaughter had come out of school and there was nobody there to meet her. She didn't seem interested. The parking bay, which has no charges, starts about 4 feet in front of the van in the blip. The van is illegally parked. It's on the pavement, over the zig zags of the pedestrian crossing and at a point where the road is narrowed to one lane by a pedestrian crossing and a traffic island and completely blocking the driveways of two houses.
Friday today and as it is the last of the month, the 101st art quiz link is below. 9 out of 10 for me today which I was pleased by.
Saw all the grandchildren today. Josie is now saying ta and hiya!
Eilidh has a dance show at the Assembly Rooms tomorrow which sadly we will miss as we are helping at the D'Mains Christmas lights market which is on from 12-6. I'll be serving tea in the hall from 1-2 if you are around. It's a huge market of local people selling crafts, food etc all based around our church buildings and grounds. The stalls take from the local playgroup, Brownies, Cubs etc to professional jewellery makers, Bakers and craftspeople. There's also a mobile stage with events on during the afternoon. This is the 4th year it's been held like this and it just gets better. Over lockdown when we couldn't use the hall, there was a trail around the neighbourhood and people could follow a map to find individual stalls in each seller's garden. It's a real community event.
Fingers crossed that the weather holds.
