I think it is going to be dark

Long miserable 185 mile trip with long delays on the M25 and A31.
However we are here, it truly is in the middle of nowhere about 2 miles from the nearest tarmac road and it appears the other two cottages are unoccupied.
I think it will be quiet apart from the screams rodents, hoots of owls and squelchy noises from marsh dwellers.
Beer o’clock approaches.
