The One that Got Away

Poor Little Grebe just couldn’t swallow this fish but it gave me plenty of opportunity to take photos of him in his thick winter plumage. Usually they dive every few seconds and I have never managed a decent shot of one.

Have a great weekend everyone. Mine has started well with a lecture on the elusive Lynx which I have yet to see, a lifetime project I think! Talking of projects a friend came to pick up her calendar just now and told us about her latest house transformation in the south of France. She does almost everything herself at the age of 75, with 2 knee replacements, and Crone’s disease to contend with!
