Lichen

We had a couple of bits to take to the Hospice charity shop this morning and as it was bright we went for a short walk - heading over the old railway viaduct at Newton Kyme. I liked this lichen which was growing on the rusty metalwork and paint, I thought it stood out nicely against the swirling River Wharfe below - which was flowing quite fast after all the recent rain.

We made it back to the car just as it started to rain!
