Mountain ash in autumn
I've not shot many autumn pics since I arrived in Patagonia, so thought I'd take one of one of the many Mountain Ash (aka Rowan, Pehuén or sorbus) trees that line the streets of San Martín de los Andes. Not many leaves left now, but like most of the trees a very heavy crop of bright red berries. Perhaps the local birds aren't tempted by this food supply. It's nice to think that the two Rowan trees I planted in my garden might grow to such magnificence, but maybe not in my lifetime!
