Delightful Arrochar

Set off at 7.45am from Bridlington and got to Arrochar for 4pm. Not bad going really with stops. It didn't feel like it took so long at all.

Our driver is called Les and he is fab. He has long snowy white hair and looks and sounds just like Billy Connolly (minus the swearing)! He has a beautifully melodic scottish voice that I could listen to forever, and his regaling of tales and scottish history is second to none.

Upon arriving at the hotel I was shown to the tiniest room imaginable and situated right next to the entertainment area. As is my want when I go on these trips, I immediately requested a room change and in doing this wound up with a king size bed with expansive views of Loch Long. You don't get owt without asking and I'm always pleasant about it......every time winding up with a superior room to the one originally allocated to me!

For the money, you can't fault these coach trips. I know they're dominated by folk of a certain maturity, but for good value and worry free solo holidaying you can't do much better, I think!
