Obsessing....

...about the Japanese Maples this year! It cleared up to be a gorgeous afternoon. The Japanese Maple outside our kitchen window is just stunning this year. I don't remember a year where it's been so colorful, especially so late in the season. When the sun came out this afternoon, I was watching from the kitchen window where I was preparing tonight's feast. I grabbed my camera and ran outside...the blue sky, the yellow leaves, and the sun twinkling through. And just how did I make that fun sunny star? I have no idea!

We had a delightful dinner - a combination of traditional and vegetarian, honoring my son's choice of cuisine. His daughter (9) follows his vegetarian choices, and his son (5) does not. I was surprised he didn't ask for ham, his all-time current favorite food ;-)
