Setting Up
Waiting for clear nights to practice some astrophotography is a bit of a lottery at the moment. Even tonight with a clear forecast, cloud frustratingly blocked my view as I was trying to align with Polaris. The laser pointer is there to help align the tracker so that it can turn and keep the stars in the same location in the frame. I also have a polar scope to ensure it is aligned with the north celestial pole.
I waited in the hope of clear sky but it didn’t happen before it was time for bed.
