Sycamore

Ever since I joined blip, over four years ago, I've wanted to blip this tree. I always want to arrive here when there is a beautiful sky behind, lit by the golden sunset. I imagine pinks and lilacs!

On a nice day you can see beyond it to the Ullswater valley. Tonight was a "nice" evening so I thought I might catch the best of both worlds, but no.

So just the sycamore, the type of tree whose garden relations I have always loved, and the tree I have recently appreciated as the source of one of the most beautiful woods to work with. Caught just days before its sculptured beauty is changed for two seasons by leaves.

I love winter for the awareness it gives me of trees.
