Opportunist!

There's been heavy rain yet again today, even had a big flash of lightning, followed quickly by an equally big crash of thunder, last night. 
The muddy part of the lawn is a quagmire, but the birds seem to love it. There are lots of worm mounds around, but this Blackbird appeared to be picking up grass and mud. I thought she must be nest building but I hope not, the cold weather is still to come, maybe, Global Warming permitting.
I'm hoping all of this rain, and still relatively mild temperatures, will encourage my grass seed to germinate before too long.
