Eilan Donan

Most people know  of Norman Thelwell from his Pony Club cartoons. Even if you look at his Wikipedia entry, that and similar work is all you'll find. Few know he was a highly accomplished painter.

We found this original pencil and watercolour in a Glasgow art fair in 1999 and just had it reglazed.  A wonderful study of mist and light.
