Billy

in the Arctic. On BBC Four in my hotel room in Hitchin, where the heating doesn’t work and it’s pretty chilly. But I’m on my own so I can wear socks on my feet and a Buff on my head to stay warm. 

It’s great to see Billy Connolly in his prime, a programme from 1995. Mrs B and I saw him perform in Elgin in 1978, when we were courting, both of us stationed at RAF Lossiemouth. He’s about to turn 80, and his amazing brain isn’t what it was, but I’m sniggering away at his antics on stage (it’s the next Billy programme on now).
