Bit of a Disaster

So, I have a Karcher steam cleaner which i am very happy with. had a spill of tea and used it to mop up. then put the pad on top of the lovely wood burning stove to dry out. And then forgot about it. BIG mistake. not only did it burn but some sort of sticky plasticky stuff has glued itself onto the top of the stove. I have no idea how to remove. I have contacted Karcher and sent them photos. i fear they wont have any ideas either.
