Thanksgiving Service
This afternoon I went to the Thanksgiving Service to one of the most positive, kind and generous people I've ever known. I first met Liz 20 odd years ago - she ran 'Rhythm and Rhyme' in the village for babies and toddlers and it was a wonderful weekly date for singing and laughing and coffee with friends.
Always friendly, interested and smiley on her regular walks around the village she suddenly lost her battle with cancer last month leaving her family and much of the village reeling. She was much too young.
As a committed Christian she wasn't scared of death. The service led by a close friend, was an expression of her wishes and affirmation of her beliefs. Reference to the book 'Life of Pi' certainly resonated with me. Her husband and children spoke so movingly about her that I suspect there wasn't a dry eye in the (filled to overflowing) church.
RIP Liz Munday - you made an impact! You will never be forgotten. xxxx
