'A Magic Melbourne Day'
If there was a definition for 'Perfect Day' in the dictionary, there would be a description of today's weather in Melbourne.
It was just so brilliant that I had to get out for a very long walk at lunchtime. Parked the car opposite the Botanical Gardens along the Yarra River and walked all the way into town and back. In Federation Square there was a Karate exhibition happening, apparenty the 'World Karate Championships' are happening here at the moment (which I had no idea about). Took lots of city photos, photos at the Alexandra Gardens, a cormorant sitting alongside the Yarra River, but this composition took my fancy today. Would have been such a prefect day if it was a weekend and didn't have to get back to the office so quickly, but apparently we've got the same in store until the weekend now. It was our warmest May day in over a decade, sitting on a fantastic 25 degrees with a very slight breeze. What more could you ask for?
Also, I received my new lens today, bought a Canon EF 17-40mm F4. Can't wait to try it out with some landscape shots on the weekend.
