2022 Sunday — Road-trip North

After three good weeks in SoCal that included several medical appointments and a thoroughly wonderful 73rd birthday for me, we headed north on the highway this morning. We pulled away from our driveway at 6:08; after 3 hours and 45 minutes of driving on fairly empty freeways we arrived at our place on California’s Central Coast. I drove the final 70 minute stretch from Buellton north to Cayucos.That was possibly our best driving time ever.

It’s good to be back. We love it here. There is less traffic and fewer people. The view of the Pacific Ocean from every room in this house is delightful.

We’ll enjoy Thanksgiving here and stay thru much of December.
