Tuesday: Eating Apples

Red “Bardsey” and “James Grieve” - the last of this year’s crop, they’ve been amazing in spite of this year’s heat/draught/deluge/wind - we’ve been eating them since August.
Lots of heavy rain all night but a dry day today. I put washing out but it hasn’t dried - heating on later will help them along :-)
Greenfinch back on the bird feeder this afternoon, so nice to see them again.
Goldfinch eating Inula seeds late afternoon - https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2866418645905443729 - these are another useful wildlife flower, along with teasels and Mahonia providing food for pollinators and birds.
Had a walk around the veg garden with The Robin after lunch, he found tasty treats in the compost bin and under pots which I was moving :-))
Made myself a mugful of hot chocolate late afternoon with a piece of shortbread and read for an hour … simple pleasures and pure luxury!
Nos da pawb / goodnight all xx
