InterIsland…

………………………………………….Crossing

An early start this morning, but worth it as we boarded the ferry for Wellington - and even departed earlier than scheduled.

The three and a half hour crossing arrived mid morning. The sea was calm and the sun shone. It was extremely windy entering Wellington harbour, but with it blowing from the Northerly direction it caused no problems with rough seas.

This photo was taken as we sailed from Picton through the Queen Charlotte Sounds towards Tory Chanel and the heads leading to the Cook Strait - the notorious stretch of water between the North and South Islands of New Zealand.

A big thank you for the many visits, stars and hearts for yesterday’s atmospheric view of Lake Rotoiti. And the perfect pop of colour!

It took many frustrating efforts to upload my blip last night. The internet was unreliable and kept dropping the connection so I eventually gave up!
