Virginia Vacation ...

… Day 1.

Today is the start of our much anticipated vacation to Virginia.  As the drive is only about 6-7 hours we didn’t have to leave home all that early.  However, we did manage to start out before 10:30 am this morning.

We pretty much drove straight through to our resort in Spotsylvania, Virginia … only stopping once at the Virginia Welcome Center for a potty and lunch break.  We arrived at the resort right at 4:00 pm … just in time for check-in. 

After checking in we drove to our cabin to unload the car and check everything out.  It’s a really nice two bedroom cabin with full kitchen and two full baths.  We unpacked our luggage before heading out to grab some dinner at a Mexican restaurant that we saw driving in.  And then we drove to Walmart to pick up some groceries for the week. The full kitchen is great for saving money on eating out all the time!

We were back to our cabin by 7:00 pm and settled in for the night. 

Tomorrow is the start of a great week!
